Abandoned Dormitory

A three-storey building that once served as the dormitory of a trade school — and before that, as a boarding annex of the same institution. Because it is cut into the slope of a hill, the ground floor appears semi-subterranean or even basement-like on one side. That floor housed an assembly hall with its own street entrance, as well as a canteen; the two upper floors contained residents’ rooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, and the warden’s quarters. The building also features small scenic balconies. It appears to have closed after 2009 and was abandoned mid-way through an attempted renovation that aimed to convert it into a hotel.

As of 2026, the building is deteriorating, has no power, is almost completely empty and unguarded — but sits directly adjacent to residential houses. Someone parks a car in its lot and evidently keeps an eye on things. There are gaps in the fence, and the windows and doors have bars, but entry is possible. Residents of the neighbouring buildings may be fairly watchful.
