Abandoned School in the Village D-KS

A nine-year school in a village, closed in 2025 following the merger of the district schools and a lack of pupils. The building stands out for its socialist-modernist architecture: the same design appears elsewhere in the country, but here it can be seen as an abandoned school.

The school has two wings of classrooms and a central hall with a staircase. The ground-floor classrooms are the best preserved — in one of them, dust-covered textbooks still lie on the desks. Upstairs, dead birds lie in some of the rooms. The glass in the entrance doors has been knocked out, so getting inside is easy. Local residents may be curious about why you have come.
