Abandoned Village E-SY

A cluster of four fully abandoned rural houses on a hill beside the road leading to several partly inhabited villages. The two-storey and single-storey structures are in near-derelict condition. Even so, the former living quarters have preserved a wealth of artefacts from village life — trunks filled with clothing, furniture, fireplaces, crockery and kitchen utensils, clay jugs and similar objects.

A steeply sloping stone track leads up to the houses; at times, the landowners may be resting nearby in the garden, having come to work in the olive groves.
