Air Defense Position G-TY on the Castle

One of many similar air defense positions, this one sits on a hilltop and is notable for having been laid out within the footprint of an old fortress. The site has survived in poor condition, but the platforms for machine guns or light anti-aircraft guns are still legible, as are the recessed pits for radar equipment and antennae. The position is surrounded by a scenic mountain landscape.
