Air Defense Position V-AC with a Bunker

A large air defense position spanning two hills of the peninsula within a nature reserve, best reached on foot. Concrete gun platforms (for machine guns or anti-aircraft cannons), small semi-subterranean rooms, vehicle garages, a communications room, and observation posts have all survived. Every point was originally connected by trenches with concrete roofs, but nearly all the roofs have been torn down by scrap metal collectors. In places the trenches are impassable due to blackberry bushes growing inside them.

The position is linked by a crooked staircase to a small empty bunker at the foot of the hill. Two brick barracks stand nearby, used by goats and sheep as shade from the heat. Shepherds can often be encountered in the area. The easiest route to the top is through the bunker, to avoid struggling through the blackberry thickets on the slope.
