Air Defense Position V-MU

A former air defense position situated on a scenic hill of the peninsula, above 800 metres above sea level. The site has survived in poor condition: it consists of six level concrete platforms for guns (machine guns or anti-aircraft cannons), the walls of a former garage, a small shelter-bunker, and a pair of unfinished tunnels a little further down the slope.

Nevertheless, the location is picturesque at sunset, makes a worthy destination for a day-hike ascent, and serves as a good overnight stopping point. In certain weather conditions the site can be completely hidden in clouds; in winter it is occasionally dusted with snow for short periods.
