Artillery Bunkers E-BQ

Artillery bunkers built from prefabricated concrete elements, intended to defend the factories in the industrial zone adjoining the city of Elbasan. Three groups of four standard-pattern bunkers each, dating from the 1980s. In a fold of terrain nearby stood several buildings and an unfinished bunker in the state of a tunnel — most likely intended as a local defence headquarters.

Inside the bunkers, inscriptions with artillerist’s reminders have survived on the walls, and the original camouflage has been applied to the facades. Some bunkers are beautifully overgrown with blackberry bushes. Unguarded.
