Artillery Bunkers F-XD with Tunnels

A rather decent abandoned artillery position not far from a village. Four massive monolithic concrete bunkers with stepped canopies, reminiscent of Atlantic Wall construction. They are connected by a through underground tunnel; there is also a perpendicular tunnel running deep through the hill to the other side, though it ends in a rubble seal. On top of the firing points there was once a rangefinder, but it was demolished and the chunks of concrete thrown onto the staircase, which is now completely buried under the debris.

The firing points are remarkable for the abundance of wall paintings — all kinds of military instructions and life hacks, tables for identifying enemy ships and aircraft, coastal landscapes, diagrams of shells and tanks, and just some funny dudes in gas masks. A pleasant, peaceful site — like an art gallery.
