Chrome Mine D-AH

A chrome mine founded in the communist era and closed within the last few years. Outside stand partly dismantled machinery, an ore elevator and an old brick building. Inside the adit, mine cars and timber supports have survived, and small chambers show where the rock was worked out.

An inclined drift descends from the adit with its winch drum still in place; on the lower level the rails and the rest of the mine infrastructure have been removed. Reaching the mine requires a vehicle with high ground clearance.
