Coastal Artillery Bunkers T-QJ with Tunnels

A coastal battery of 122 mm guns positioned on a hill. The site comprises three bunkers dating from 1986, a rangefinder post, and several firing positions protecting the approaches to the battery. Although the battery appears to follow a standard layout, it has only three artillery bunkers instead of the usual four. What makes it unusual, however, is that the bunkers are interconnected by tunnels — a feature rarely encountered in installations of this kind.

The rangefinder also has sunken interior rooms and a tunnel leading to the firing positions; the corridor collapsed in the middle due to a ground subsidence. Inscriptions and instructional notes for artillerymen are preserved on the walls of the artillery bunkers. Unguarded.
