Metallurgical Plant

A former metallurgical plant covering an enormous industrial area, portions of which have been taken over by small businesses, each fenced off within their own perimeter. Even so, a considerable number of the original workshops survive in a state of ruin — vast, visually striking, unguarded and unfenced. The condition of the structures is hazardous: the site is riddled with pits, trenches and dangerous debris. Entry is unrestricted and vehicles can drive right in, though the grounds are heavily populated with stray dogs. Many of the buildings have appeared in photo shoots and music videos by local artists.
