Fuel Depot E-UD

A former military fuel storage base, set in a hollow between hills. A huge, freely accessible site with no fence at all, though private houses, gardens and vegetable plots come right up against the abandoned buildings.

There are about a dozen abandoned and ruined buildings, plus some fifty assorted iron barrels and tanks for fuel. The barrels stand in several groups — of 2, 5, 10 and 15 — and getting to them is tricky because of the undergrowth. No underground tunnels could be found.
