Fuel Depot E-Y

The grounds of a former military fuel storage unit. Several tank yards held POL (petroleum, oil, lubricants) in capacities ranging from ten cubic metres to several thousand. Most of the smaller tanks have been stolen outright or stripped for parts. What remains on site includes embedded anchor pads for the pipeline, a loading and unloading area for fuel trucks, several guard rooms and barracks.

The territory is heavily overgrown with blackberry brambles and other vegetation; some of the tank pads are no longer accessible. The gates are shut and have sunk into the ground. Metal is gradually being pilfered by locals. The site is unguarded.
