Modernist-Style Circus

An abandoned circus building in a small industrial town in Fier County. Almost entirely concrete, it has no architectural equal in the region. Inside, fig trees have taken root and an owl has made its home. Entry is through a gap in the bricked-up entrance. According to local residents, the circus never actually operated — it was built but never opened. Construction began under the communists, intended to entertain the proletariat.
