Storage Tunnels K-KC

A large underground facility that was never completed. From the outside it presents two tunnel portals opening onto a rocky cliff in a gorge. Inside, it consists of three parallel tunnels joined by a single cross-tunnel. The spaces are wide and high-ceilinged, partly lined with concrete, in places flooded by groundwater and in places collapsed. Judging by the brackets on the walls of one tunnel, an overhead travelling crane was meant to run there, so the site may have been intended as an underground workshop or repair shops.
